Wednesday January 20
Please continue to pray for the CBM team ministering in southeast India. Thank God for the impact the Groups of Hope is having on those who take part in the workshops. Pray for the team as they move on every second or third day. Pray for their health and energy as they continue.
Also continue to pray for Ken Little as he assesses the needs in Haiti and makes recommendations for the response of his agency.
Pray that Gene’s aunt Shirley, will continue to recover well. Pray for his mother, Doris, as she begins chemotherapy tomorrow. Pray for minimal side effects and for the effectiveness of the treatment.
Tuesday January 19
Pray for the significant needs of teachers for the Grade 3 & 4 class and for the youth class. Pray for Joanna James as she oversees this ministry.
Please continue to pray for Mark Hunt. He is now at home recovering from the surgery. Pray for God’s healing touch and pray for Meghan and Katelyn as well.
And continue also to pray for Bill Frost. Give thanks that he has adjusted well to the new living situation. And pray for Myrna as she cares for Bill.
Monday January 18
Our best wishes go today to Les Alexander, who is the remaining charter member of Spring Garden. Les celebrated his 97th birthday on the 11th. of Jan.
Ken Little has arrived in Haiti after a flight from Florida on Saturday. Please pray for creative wisdom as Ken assesses how his agency and its partners can help in this desperate situation.
Please continue to pray for the family and friends of Nancy Black Scott as they grieve her death last Tues.
Pray also for the staff of Rexdale Alliance as they deal with the passing of a colleague. Pray that both groups would know the reality of the God of all comfort.
Saturday January 16
We have just received information of the death of Nancy Black Scott on Tues. Jan.11. Nancy was on the staff of Rexdale Alliance and was formerly a member of Spring Garden. The funeral took place at 11:00 a.m. this morning at Rexdale Alliance.
Friday January 15
Give thanks that Faith Holwyn and the CBM team have arrived safely in India. Pray for them as their ministry begins and for safety in travel throughout the region, mostly by train.
Continue to pray for Lindzie Critch, at Capernwray in Quebec, for Jill Cameron who is at Capernwray in England, and for Michelle Willson as she works on a native reserve on Manitoulin Island.
Thursday January 14
Pray for the renovation – for safety of all the workers, for quality workmanship, and that even in this cold weather, work would continue.
Give thanks that Karen Deane’s friend, Karen has found a doctor that understood her problem and she is now feeling much better.
Continue to pray for Andrew Deane’s mother. The pain in her back has subsided so pray that her condition will continue to improve.
Wednesday Jan 13
Please continue to pray for Mark Hunt. He came through the surgery better than expected but the doctors say that recovery will be slower due to his weakened condition.
Pray for each of the staff today and the ministry with which they are involved. Also please continue to pray for the team responsible for finding a Pastor of Discipleship. Pray for wisdom and discernment and a sense of God’s leading.
